  1. I've never actually played world of warcraft, but I've often thought that there was money to be made in it!
After seeing the WoW episode on Southpark I don't think I could bring myself to play the game! ;)

Not just wow, you can make money playing Runescape and many others

Very interesting, never even knew about this possibility for making money from a game. I heard about the girl who became a millionaire on Second Life, but it sounds like it took her a lot of work and a year or 2.

You might want to add that all these ways are considered illegal (if you can use that word) by Blizzard (the producers). If you abuse your account in this way, you run a fairly high risk of getting your account canceled.

You do need to be careful that you don't get banned. There are other ways that you can legally earn alot of money with wow leveling on world of warcraft.

A somewhat good way of making money in wow is to get full fishing and cooking skill and make rare potions and stuff, sell at ah for gold and then sell the gold online if you wish. Besides, who don't just love to fish, even online? ;)

http://www.wowfishingguide.net could help you getting your needed fishing skill :)

Gathering skills are the ticket to making gold. My mage has two (mining and herbalism) and I make sick gold quickly. Faster than daily quests!

selling gold for actual money is ILLEGAL although it seems like it would work. Its in terms and conditions..
Try not to need to need money so bad to be ILLEGAL.
Although i think leveling isnt illegal!!
    Sounds good!

Ok, selling/buying gold is not "ILLEGAL" (not yet anyway =P). You won't get arrested for it. Its against the Terms of Service you agree to to play the game. The worst that can happen is getting your WoW account banned. Which might be pretty bad for some of us but still not so bad as jail time.

    Randi says:

illegal means its against the law. blizzard doesn't right the law.

if blizzard catches you cheating in their game, they can ban your character.

doesn't mean its illegal, just that its against the rules. ppl misuse the word illegal so much, you would think blizzard ran the government.

You guys are all wrong. It is actually illegal under U.S. law to sell gold because it violates copyright laws. Everything within the World of Warcraft is considered blizzard property. Therefore when you sell gold you are essentially selling something that you don't own the rights to you are only borrowing it from blizzard.
